Come and See
A new Catholic Primary Religious Education programme for Foundation and Key Stages 1 and 2 published in July 2012.
This easy to use, teacher-friendly material has been written by a group of experienced diocesan advisors.
It follows on from successful trialling in schools in England and Wales and is based on the theological foundations of the Second Vatican Council, the Catholic Catechism and the revised RE Curriculum Directory and includes the Catholic attainment levels.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church addresses the search for meaning in life. God’s initiative in Revelation who comes to meet us and our response of faith. (cf. CCC26) This pattern guides the structure of the programme and informs the process of each topic, opened up through; Explore, Reveal and Respond.
The resource website we have put together gathers a variety of new and exciting resources from many providers in one place, a collection of everything a teacher should need to plan an engaging RE lesson. Our resources are not static or regimented, they are not protected from change, any teacher/head teacher/RE advisor can download a copy and dismantle it, putting it back together the way they see fit. Due to this unique approach to resource provision we actively seek constructive criticism and suggestions from our users, so we can improve and expand over the next 5 years and hopefully beyond.
Once you have purchased Access Rights for our site you can access resources from Early Years to Year 6, from Illustrations and Scripture to interactive PowerPoints and videos; but you can also make it your own, by providing suggestions on what works in the classroom so the site can grow and grow.

Our Resources
The Resource Website has been up and running for some time now nd is growing every day. All of the essential resources have been added for the topics currently in use and all resources essential resources will be available to teachers by the time they are required.
We are working tirelessly to constantly improve the resources we provide for use with the Come and See programme and users should see a real improvement over the coming months and the duration of the programme. We have some very exciting ideas and are working with some very talented people to provide the greatest resources we can.
We have already had some excellent feedback from teachers all across the country and have done our best to adapt our resources to match the needs of the users. We have just added a simple Feedback Form to this website to allow users to tell us what they want to see more of and what they want to see changed.
